Dear Parent/Carers
Year 9 Options Evening: Wednesday 7th February, 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm
Your son/daughter is about to embark upon one of the most vital parts of their educational journey where they will be making decisions about the courses they wish to study in years 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4).
It is therefore essential that you attend on Wednesday the 7th of February when we are holding the Year 9 Options Evening. This evening will give yourself and your child the opportunity to listen to a valuable presentation about the options process and to gather information about the subjects, from both staff and students, on offer in order to make an informed decision about option choices. Careers advisors and representatives from our local colleges will also be in attendance in order to provide further information about post 16 opportunities.
Options booklets and options forms will be handed out on the evening. (If you are unable to attend, the forms will be handed to students the next day or posted to you during half term). Please also find the booklet linked below available online.
I sincerely hope that you will join us for a prompt start at 6.00pm on this vitally important evening so that we can provide you with the information, advice and guidance needed to make the correct option choices with your son/daughter.
Light refreshments will be available throughout the evening.
